To consider 2009 statutory requirements for teacher assessment in KS1 assessment and reporting arrangements focusing on:

• The National Exemplification materials currently available- i.e. "Building a Picture"
• Assessment for learning, to inform moderation of teacher assessment and the implications for teaching and learning
• The appropriate use of test/task materials & choices available to teachers, administration, marking and data completion requirements.
  

If you can answer "YES" to any one of these questions then this course is a MUST for you!

* Is this the first year that you have taught Y2, i.e. unfamiliar with KS1 assessment arrangements?

* Have you had a break from teaching Y2 and are you now teaching Y2 again this year?

* Are you a member of the support staff who will be involved in administering the tasks/tests?

* Do you require an up-date on CURRENT statutory requirements, i.e. have not attended training in the last 2 years? ie new Headteacher.
