Day Six
By applying the principles and strategies offered during this session, participants will:

Module 6a (9:15am - 12noon)
Have a basic understanding of the role of the subject/aspect leader within the school
An introduction to the role of the subject/aspect leader within the school. This session will provide an overview of the role, and will offer a simple task description format for consideration. The session is particularly helpful for those who may be considering the role in the future.

Module 6b (12:45pm - 3:30pm)
Be able to conduct an initial audit of strengths and areas for development in a specific subject/aspect
This session provides a basic insight into the monitoring role of the subject/aspect leader, and provides a practical framework for an initial audit of the strengths and areas for development in a specific subject or aspect of the work of the school. It is a particularly helpful session for those who may be considering the role for the future.
Be able to write a clear action plan for improvement of quality in achievement in a specific subject or aspect
This practical workshop will enable colleagues to write a clear and focussed action plan for improving quality in learning in a specific subject or aspect of the schools' work
