To give ICT co-ordinators the opportunity to update their own knowledge in the light of recent developments.

To enable co-ordinators to set realistic targets for achievement in ICT in school and to develop the skills to ensure that these are attained.

To enable schools to improve the quality of teaching and learning through the effective use of ICT.

This three day course is designed to develop the skills of the ICT co-ordinator. Co-ordinators will be given the opportunity to become confident in using a range of software designed to meet the needs of National Curriculum ICT. There will be plenty of opportunities to acquire and practice new skills and to explore how ICT can be used to enhance the whole curriculum.

The course will look in depth at the national targets for ICT and how they can be achieved. Strategies for auditing provision and implementing the ICT development plan will be covered.

This course also presents co-ordinators with the opportunity to meet with co-ordinators from neighbouring schools and to share planning models and policy formulation.
