  5. Corus process visit and resource development workshops. A professional development opportunity aimed at KS4 teaching staff / Work Related Learning Co-ordinators / Connexions Advisers and Subject ASTs.   6. Renewed Secondary Frameworks
    The new online Framework for Secondary English from the National Strategy is now accessible through the following link: http://www.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/secondary/frameworks The Framework website provides
    * lines of progression and a bank of learning objectives;
    * support for planning for increased pupil progress;
    * plenty of useful guidance – both on screen and materials that can be downloaded;
    * links to additional guidance, to key National Strategy materials, and to other useful websites;
    * link to interactive planning tool for English which can be downloaded.
    From September 2008 the website will be enhanced with additional exemplification materials to support planning, classroom pedagogy, and effective Assessment for Learning.   7. North East Lincolnshire Council is committed to improving creativity in its schools and, in 2005, welcomed the opportunity to be involved in this innovative project. Chameleon Creative Learning project follows Creative Partnerships initiatives around the country, working specifically towards the excellence and enjoyment agenda through all key stages, including foundation.   10. The NELC Primary Framework for ICT has been designed to support teachers and schools in delivering high quality learning and teaching for all children. It contains detailed guidance and materials to support the teaching of ICT in primary schools.

  11. North East Lincolnshire Council are supporting the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Environment Day (WED) which is held annually on the 5th June. The theme is "Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy". This year there is to be an Art and Poetry competition for all ages. Winners art work will be displayed in Freshney Place and a prize giving will follow at a later date.
