Videoconferencing in the
Primary Classroom
- a case history
This document is not about the technical aspects of videoconferencing but
focuses on using videoconferencing as a teaching and learning tool in the
primary classroom. A small number of videoconferencing activities have
been carried out in order to experiment with ideas and setups, with the view
that eventually schools will be presented with a document that outlines a
working model for videoconferencing as a teaching and learning tool.

Context
The first two videoconferencing activities involved a multipoint conference
between three schools. The teaching activity occurred in one school and
was conferenced to the other two schools, enabling groups of children to
participate in the teaching and learning.
