Numeracy
problems to solve for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 from our Numeracy Team. The
Latest problems are here. Ben has a blue pencil case, Ruby has a red pencil case and Peter has a purple pencil case. Altogether, the children have 10 pencils in their cases.
If Ben has 1 pencil more than Ruby and Ruby has 3 pencils less than Peter, can you work out how many pencils each child owns? You are helping to set up a story for the Reception class, the teacher askes you to arrange the figures of Goldilocks and The Three Bears around the for the start of the lesson. This gives you a problem. Who sits next to whom and who sits opposite whom? How many different ways can Goldilocks and the 3 Bears sit on the four chairs? |
